Pysanky Egg Workshop - Ukrainian Eggs

Come join us for a fun workshop at The Bella Moxie Co. in Medina on Thursday May 14th from 6:00 - 8:30 pm as we explore the traditional Ukrainian art of pysanky! In this hands-on workshop, you'll discover the technique of creating beautifully decorated Easter eggs using wax-resist dyeing methods.  

We will be decorating real blown eggs using a wax-resist pysanky method & dyed beautiful colors with vibrant dyes.  Each participant should go home with two eggs with small wooden stands to display them.

What you'll learn:

• Traditional pysanky symbols and their meanings
• Wax application techniques using a kistka (stylus)
• Layering dyes to create vibrant patterns
• Finishing and preserving your pysanky eggs

All materials provided. No experience necessary - perfect for beginners and art enthusiasts alike! 

The class size will be limited to 8 students.  Due to safety concerns related to hot wax, this class will be for adults. 

Bottled water will be provided.  Feel free to bring other light snacks or drinks for yourself!

Bella Moxie is located at 139 North Court Street, Medina, Ohio 44256.  The dedicated parking lot is conveniently located just to the west of the building.
